"Le Corbusier" chair
An iconic piece of furniture used by Mies van der Rohe, Le Corbusier, and others in their apartment designs, the B9 armchair, first manufactured by Thonet around 1880, is one of the most famous chairs in the world of design. Timeless and avant-garde in design, Le Corbusier presented it at the Pavillon de l'Esprit Nouveau in Paris in the 1920s. The chair on offer is from the 1920s, produced under license from Thonet by the Swiss manufacturer Horgen Glarus. Beautiful patina, chair in very good original condition. Manufacturer's label under the seat.
